Someone I admire would have to be my mother. Even though we have our differences, she is an incredible woman who knows that. I admire her because of everything she has been through and how she has adapted into being able to move into a new country and make a living for herself. My mother is not from the United States, she is from a popular state in Mexico, Sinaloa. She was raised there and decided to go to the United States to join her older sisters when she was only 15 or so. I could not imagine having to go through everything she did, but it just made her who she is today. My mother crossed the border and was caught once, on her second attempt she was able to join her older sisters here in small city in California. It makes me sad to think that at 15 when she was only a child she had to protect herself from all the dangers and her little brother who came along with her. When she got here though the times were still hard as they were poor and she wasn’t in a happy home. She met my father shortly after here in the US and he gave her what she needed, a home. My mother and father were also poor and had to struggle when she gave birth to my oldest brother at 18 years old. I admire the resilience and how hard she worked to keep it all together. After a couple years and hard work from my dad they had another baby girl my oldest sister. My mother had more children and they were able to grow a stable life with us. She began working shortly after I was old enough to go to school and even though she goes through so much at work she was able to make a living for herself without having to rely on anyone else. My mother is a strong woman and I think her strong personality is something that she passed to all of us.
