There once was a famous surfer who was known for winning competitions in all the beaches across the world, his name was Shelly. His fans would show up and cheer him on and in return would be able to talk to this surfer and take photos together. No one would expect this but, his biggest fan was a lonely shark who was called Sandy! This shark would go to all his competitions and watch him from afar. Although he liked being able to see Shelly, Sandy wanted to be able to talk to him. So Sandy came up with an excellent plan to go visit Shelly on his next competition.

“I’ll go cheer him on in a disguise, he won’t know I’m a shark and I’ll be able to get a photo,” said Sandy.

The next day Sandy went on his way extra early to see Shelly before his competition. When he arrived he noticed he must have left too early, as it was still dark outside. He saw a boy laying on the beach all by himself and fearing the boy was in trouble he went to go check on him.

“Hello, are you hurt, do you need help by any chance?”

“No. Im not hurt,” said the boy. “Im just a bit tired and I laid down here where no one could find me.”

“Why don’t you want anyone to find you?” asked Sandy.

The boy took a big sigh and replied, “I feel as though I’m letting people down. You see I do competitions and lately I haven’t been feeling all too good about it. I just don’t want anyone to feel disappointed with me.”

“I don’t think that’s true.” said Sandy. “I think if they really care about you then they’ll see how hard you’re trying, I came all the way here to cheer on for my idol and even if he didn’t win first place, I’d still be proud to be his fan because I know how hard he tries”
