20 minute blog journal 09/1

Someone that I really miss would have to be my father’s nephew’s wife. She was called Chayo and she passed away last year from cancer. They lived in my fathers hometown in Aguascalientes, Mexico. We started visiting them for Christmas time because my father missed being in his former home state. I have known her since I was a baby, but I didn’t remember her and had to be reintroduced when I was 11 years old. She was one of the most kindest people I have ver met. She showed us around and she had always been a close friend to my mother who had trouble with my fathers family. Chayo was a former teacher, she was married my father’s nephew, who was a principal. She always saw the bright side of things and would always tell is interesting facts about the places we would visit. She love learning and helping others. They found out she had cancer last year, it was too late. She passed away not long after we had found out. I know her children were the most affected, especially her daughter. The night I found out I didn’t know how to react, but when I had to go to school that morning I couldn’t stop crying while thinking about her. It didn’t seem fair to me that she had to suffer in pain like that. My mother was heartbroken and she was crying so much. Chayo was the first friend she made from my father’s family, and the first one who welcomed her after his sister rejected her. She meant a lot to my family and I never forget her kindness. I had a dream of her not so long after she passed away. She looked just like si remembered her, wearing sneakers and a jacket and smiling. I think about that dream a lot.
